Abstract

This article presents music as a humanization tool for the public service: a case study at the Health Department of the Municipality of Apuiarés in the State of Ceará. The decision to carry out this research in which it is focused on music came from the realization of how motivating to work on this issue in the public service, specifically in the health area, because with music, work activities enable integration and interaction. The investigation took place with public health workers, whose objective was to use music as an instrument of humanization and better quality of life at work. In order to achieve the objective of the present study, the methodological steps for identifying quality of life in the perception of public servants were defined, the influence of music on the quality of life at work and work development based on positive factors during the stages . A case study and exploratory research were used. The results were divided into three stages, in the first stage, songs that arouse positivity while recognizing listening and perception were used, in the second, ambient music, the calming sounds, and in the last moment, the voice and instrument were used. The report of public servants allege effects achieved by the use of music in the context of better quality of life at work, such as relief, joy, emotion and stimulation. The investigation, therefore, revealed that music served as a tool for the humanization and development of work activities, the insertion of music provided biological, social and psychological well-being.
