This article aims to show the importance of reading in early childhood education and the incentives that educators should propose to children from the first years of life in the school environment to promote the formation of future citizen readers. In early childhood education, children need to stimulate their imagination, language and fantasy through books. Reading is inspired by creativity and imagination and teachers who use children's books provide children with development in all aspects: emotional, social, sensory, cognitive and critical. They use gestures, expressions and intonations to capture everyday to build diverse knowledge.
