The legal protection of the environment is a major issue in Brazilian administrative law. Protecting and preserving the environment is essential for the quality of life of present and future generations. This paper analyzes the legal protection of the environment in Brazilian administrative law, based on an analysis of legislation and jurisprudence. The paper concludes that the legal protection of the environment in administrative law is a complex and evolving topic. Brazilian legislation and jurisprudence have advanced in protecting the environment, but challenges remain, such as the need for more effective enforcement of regulations and the establishment of a culture of environmental preservation.
