This article addresses the challenge of integrating the sport of Badminton at school, considering its benefits for the physical and mental health of students, literacy practices, considering its role in promoting inclusion and diversity, encouraging teamwork and development of social skills. This research was developed based on teaching experience, supported by a literature review. Our objective was to present a possibility of interdisciplinary work between sports practice and the area of languages, with a focus on the Portuguese language. As a result, it was possible to see that carrying out the activities provided not only an improvement in reading but also an improvement in discipline in carrying out sports.
