This article seeks reflections on family participation in early childhood education, discusses the importance of family participation for the development and learning of early childhood education students. It deals with the concept of family today and the changes in family arrangements in contemporary times. The partnership between the family and the school was discussed, as well as the legal aspects of early childhood education. In this sense, we bring the problem: What factors lead the family not to participate effectively in the school life of the child in kindergarten? The aim of this article is to understand the importance of the relationship between family and school in early childhood education. As well as, it tries to identify the strategies that the school uses to attract the presence of the family in the school and to understand what factors lead the family not to participate effectively in the child's school life.
