This work aims to present the implications of learning difficulties and the role of the educational psychologist in this context, in partnership with family and school. The research instrument that was used were books and articles, as the methodology is a bibliographic review. The general objective is to verify what strategies and/or measures the Psychopedagogue takes in relation to the Initial Years of Elementary School, reflecting on the historicity of assessment and teaching and learning of students in order to carry out a critical-reflexive analysis of the profession. from psychopedagogy. It is concluded that the reader can understand that it is essential that the professional is trained to meet this demand in order to promote qualified care for these children in the post-covid-19 period.
