This essay aims to discuss the importance of interdisciplinarity in the teacher training process. Interdisciplinarity is the result of the development of science and technology, as well as connections, interactions and integration of the various planes of human life. However, it is not a spontaneous event; The orderly and conscious action of those who will participate is essential, in this specific case: education professionals. It is concluded that interdisciplinary relationships constitute a path that allows improving the teaching-learning process and the training of professionals, taking into account that technical-scientific development moves towards levels of greater integration, as it becomes an imperative for schooling to bring together these demands of science with the way knowledge is learned in classrooms, despite the difficulties that arise in its implementation. As a research methodology, a bibliographic survey was carried out on the subject in question.
