This article deals with the teacher-student relationship and the importance of affectivity in this process, also about affectivity as a tool in the process of interaction and conflict mediation. Within the classroom, many unforeseen situations occur, which deviate from predetermined theories and rules and which require the teacher to take attitudes that go beyond their preconceptions. Through the correct way of resolving these problems, it is possible to get closer to students, establishing emotional bonds between teacher and student, for greater resourcefulness on the part of both, through the trust acquired. It is extremely important in the teaching and learning process that the student feels safe to seek knowledge and is supported by a person who recognizes their efforts to succeed and helps them to use any resulting errors as learning and a basis for new attempts, with the aim of overcoming existing errors and seeking new paths for the learning process. Trust and respect are more easily acquired through the use of afection.
