Abstract

Pharmaceutical logistics involves planning, implementing and controlling the flow of pharmaceutical products, from the supplier to the final consumer. This includes adequate transportation, storage, efficient distribution and monitoring of medicines, ensuring their integrity and quality. Quality management refers to the adoption of practices and processes that aim to ensure the production of safe, effective and high-quality medicines. Both areas are essential for the pharmaceutical sector, as they guarantee the availability of medicines at the right time, in ideal conditions and with the quality necessary to treat patients. The objective of this work is to highlight the role of the pharmacist in logistics and the impact on ensuring quality. In this work, the literature consultation method was chosen, carried out through a bibliographic survey of scientific articles, legislation, online journals and others that address the topic of pharmaceutical logistics and quality management in the industry, with a time frame from 2019 to 2023. The presence of a pharmacist in the pharmaceutical logistics industry is essential to guarantee the quality and safety of products that reach consumers.
