It is with deep joy that I address you for the auspicious opportunity to present you the digital book entitled "DIREITO EM FOCO: Critical Approaches and Substantiated Research". This fruitful work, comprising six chapters, lends itself to an in-depth and substantiated analysis of relevant and contemporary legal issues.
In the first chapter, entitled "Custody Hearing", considerations are engendered about the subtleties and implications of this eminent procedural institute. Through a critical analysis, studies are exposed that aim to improve the understanding and application of this precautionary measure, emphasizing its indispensability to safeguard the fundamental rights of individuals subjected to imprisonment.
In the second chapter, "Moral Harassment in the Public Sector of Alagoas: A Study in the Court of Justice of the State of Alagoas, Regional Labor Court of the 19th Region and Public Ministry of Labor of Alagoas between 2018-2022", investigate the occurrences of moral harassment in the scope of the public service, especially in the aforementioned bodies. The research provides us with a critical view of these abusive practices and proposes measures to curb and eradicate them.
In the third chapter, "Civil Liability Due to Denials of Health Plans: (Im)possibility of Claiming Moral Damage", the debate unfolds around the civil liability of health plan operators in the face of coverage denials. The research investigates the feasibility of claiming compensation for moral damages in these cases, contributing to the legal debate on this relevant social matter.
The fourth chapter, "Agrarian Reform with Sustainable and Solidarity Development", sheds light on the theme of agrarian reform, highlighting the need for a model that combines land redistribution with sustainable and solidary practices. The work offers proposals and reflections that aim to promote an effective agrarian reform, honoring the principles of sustainability and social equity.
The fifth chapter, "The Challenges of Black Women in the Current Labor Market in the State of Alagoas", addresses the vicissitudes faced by black women in the labor market. Through a critical analysis, obstacles and discrepancies that this specific group faces are identified, proposing measures to promote gender and race equality in the work environment.
Finally, in the sixth chapter, "Temporary Hiring in the Municipality of Urandi/BA: Analysis of the Legality of Employment Contracts between the Periods 2013 to 2022", the temporary hiring perpetrated by the municipality of Urandi, located in the beloved state of Bahia, in the interregnum between 2013 and 2022. The study offers a scrupulous legal analysis about the legality of these employment contracts, considering the norms and guidelines established by the Brazilian legal framework.
In view of this information, the book "DIREITO EM FOCO: Critical Approaches, Grounded Research" constitutes a valuable contribution to the contemporary legal debate, dealing with relevant topics and providing a critical analysis based on solid research. We hope that this work offers a comprehensive and enriching overview of the issues addressed, stimulating reflection and promoting the development of legal knowledge.
