Of the work skills that a Basic Education teacher must present so that the quality of the education offered is satisfactory, favoring student learning, it is considered that the "mastery" in producing school learning evaluations is an elementary condition since the evaluation of the teacher is something integrated into the teaching and learning process. In this sense, a research was developed using as object of study analysis of examples of questions cut from evaluations applied by Chemistry teachers in public school units in Ceará, Brazil. The results obtained from that investigation showed that inadequately elaborated questions are subject to annulment and prevent the student from being well evaluated, since such questions are not fully understood. A more decisive factor that supported the discussions was the initial and/or continued training of teachers. The hypothesis is that such formations, investigated in the present research, created gaps in the field of learning assessment, which, in effect, provided poorly elaborated questions that were very difficult to understand.
