Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The main sites of transmission are closed environments with large crowds of people, such as churches, workplaces, family environments, and especially the school, since it is a place with a large number of people. Schools can be places of prevention when dealing with the subject through health education actions. This article is the result of an extension research in which five didactic-pedagogical actions were carried out in a project whose centrality was the discussion of tuberculosis in school: application of questionnaires to 180 students, conversation circles, video screenings, lectures and the making of murals. It was noticed that the students were receptive to the project and actively participated in all activities. By developing the proposed methodologies, it was possible to raise students' awareness about the topic of tuberculosis prevention. It is understood that the intervention research carried out was productive in the teaching-learning process of the students by systematically addressing the topic of tuberculosis. The conversation circles, video exhibition and mural making were constituted as active didactics for the reconstruction of knowledge about tuberculosis and its prevention in school.
