Considering the importance of the theme in question, the present study explored the importance of sustainable games in the playful teaching of Mathematics, highlighting its ability to promote meaningful learning, engagement and environmental awareness among students. Through an innovative approach, which combines playfulness and sustainability, sustainable games offer benefits for the development of mathematical skills and the formation of conscious citizens. In addition, the integration of this theme in different educational contexts was discussed, evidencing results of research and case studies that demonstrate the effectiveness of these approaches. It is concluded that the adoption of sustainable games in mathematics education is a promising strategy to arouse the interest of students, encouraging their engagement and motivation, while preparing them to face the challenges of an increasingly sustainable world.
