Abstract

This article aims to present an analysis of the first unit of the Portuguese textbook: connection and use - 6th grade, verifying whether the questions presented contribute to the development of a critical-reflective reading, in which the student reads not only what is explicit in the text, but question your reality and reflect on the world you live in. As a theoretical reference on reading, authors such as: Freire (1987), Martins (1992), Kleiman (1999) and Castela (2011) were used. In addition to these authors, the reading axis in the BNCC (Base Nacional Comum Curricular) will be briefly presented. With this brief analysis, it can be seen that the didactic material inserts, in its activity proposals, topics and problematizations relevant to the student's experience, such as prejudice, bullying and respect, contributing to the construction of a critical subject. -reflective.
