LEGAL DESIGN AND ACCESS TO JUSTICE

Abstract

Despite being an extremely formal and traditional science, Law is not immune to technological progress. In this vein, in the quest to build a normative system compatible with the demands of the 21st century, as well as to safeguard access to justice, Legal Design emerges, which basically consists of the application of Design principles, such as design thinking and user experience, to Law. In this way, this article aims to present Legal Design and its aspects, such as Visual Law, and its applicability in legal documents, through its methodology and use of visual and technological resources, as well as demonstrating how it can be an important ally in achieving access to justice, especially from the perspective of effectiveness. Therefore, it was elaborated through a bibliographic research on the subject, in manuals and published articles on Legal design, research already carried out on its applicability and effectiveness, as well as in the classical doctrine on the principle of access to justice.
