IMPACT OF ADULT AND YOUTH EDUCATION (EJA) ON THE COMMUNITY IN SUPPORT OF SOCIAL INCLUSION

Abstract

This article aims to examine the influence of Youth and Adult Education (EJA) on the community, highlighting its importance for social inclusion, the strengthening of citizenship, and the improvement of students' quality of life. EJA is viewed as a fundamental tool for promoting social inclusion, particularly in areas facing a history of educational exclusion and economic vulnerability. By providing access to education for those who were unable to complete their studies at the appropriate age, EJA helps reduce inequalities and increase opportunities for active participation in society. Its impact on the community is reflected in boosted participant self-esteem, strengthened social ties, and the promotion of active citizenship, facilitating inclusion across various social and economic contexts. Furthermore, participation in EJA educational activities fosters the development of skills that aid entry or re-entry into the labor market, thereby increasing individuals' financial autonomy and contributing to regional development. Raising community awareness regarding the importance of inclusive education also drives cultural change, promoting values ​​such as solidarity and respect for diversity. These factors can directly impact the effectiveness and outcomes of EJA within communities. Consequently, integrated public policies and continuous investment are essential to ensure the expansion, quality, and sustainability of EJA, thereby maximizing its transformative role in social inclusion.
