This article proposes to think of the curriculum as something inseparable from the transformative action in teaching practice in Higher Education. It approaches curricular construction as a dialogical and complex process involving teachers, students, and society, overcoming the mere fragmented transmission of information. Methodologically, it is based on a critical and reflective bibliographical review. The main results indicate that the integration between intellectual knowledge and practical meanings, enhanced by the recent curricularization of extension and digital skills, consolidates the socializing and humanizing function of the university. It concludes that the curriculum must be established as an open, dialogical instrument that is inseparable from ethical and solidary intervention in the community reality.
