The nurse has important roles in prenatal assistance, including educational activities, 1st, 2nd and 3rd trimester exams, general guidelines and effective actions, ensuring the birth of a healthy child. To carry out prenatal care for indigenous pregnant women, it is necessary to know the ethnic-cultural aspects, aiming to adapt the traditional model of care according to the particularities. This study aimed to identify the nurse's role in prenatal lowrisk indigenous pregnant women. This is a integrative review of the literature whose database used was Academic Google. The following descriptors were applied: role of the nurse, prenatal care, indigenous, pregnant woman, nurse, from 2018 to 2022. The results showed that the nurse performs numerous activities within the prenatal context for indigenous pregnant women, among them, it is worth highlighting the screening and educational practices in health, seeking to identify injuries to intervene early, reducing the vertical transmission of infections and the high mortality rates of the mother-baby binomial. Therefore, the nurse's performance in prenatal care for indigenous women is directed towards a care and educational practice, aimed at preventing and identifying pathologies in a timely manner in order to ensure safe and quality care.
