The article is part of a master's research project in educational sciences at the Universidad Del Columbia in Paraguay, which sought to show some of the possible causes and consequences of school dropout. The aim was to identify the main factors that can lead to school dropout. The investigation took place at CEJA in Aragarças. The methodology took a qualitative and bibliographical approach, with the instruments used consisting of 5 structured questionnaires applied to the students who graduated from this school. The population comprised 34 informants, all of whom were included in the sample. In addition, the need to enter the job market, lack of interest in school, learning difficulties, deficiencies in school transportation, housing, family, etc., were relevant points in the sample. It can therefore be concluded that teaching in the CEJA is a very arduous and complex job. The survey showed that the need for esteem, empathy, interest, lack of support from the family and others - (were the points) - that most drew attention to the EJA. For this reason, school drop-outs are cautious and require more commitment to affection and learning
