The Systematization of Nursing Care (SAE) is a fundamental tool in professional practice, whose effectiveness depends on solid academic training. Innovative methods, such as educational games, have gained prominence as alternatives to traditional teaching, aiming to enhance the understanding and application of SAE. This study evaluates the use of SAE in undergraduate nursing education, comparing traditional methods with the use of educational games. Through a systematic literature review and Bardin's analysis methodology, inclusion and exclusion criteria were defined. The sample included 17 articles published between 2014 and 2024, addressing the implementation of SAE and the use of educational games in teaching. Results showed that educational games increased student engagement, facilitated knowledge retention, and reinforced clinical decision-making. Compared to traditional methods, games promoted greater interaction and practical application of theoretical content. Institutional resistance and technological limitations were identified as barriers, while students’ familiarity with technology and advancements in the educational field were facilitators. It is concluded that educational games represent an effective and innovative strategy for teaching SAE, with the potential to improve the training and clinical performance of future nurses.
