CARING UNTIL THE END: ALZHEIMER'S, FAMILY, AND THE INVISIBLE DEMANDS OF CARE

Authors

Abstract

Caring until the end involves more than observing the progression of an illness; it is about maintaining humanity amidst the fragility that arises, extends, and profoundly alters the existence of all those affected. Alzheimer's Disease, by gradually affecting memory, identity, and functional capacity, reveals not only biological limitations but also the ethical, emotional, and social limits of current care. This book arises from the urgency of highlighting what often remains hidden: the daily experience of family care in the context of advanced Alzheimer's.
