Abstract

The objective of this work is to promote bibliographical, quantitative and qualitative research regarding the problems that guide the issues involving the protection of women with an emphasis on the crime of Feminicide. As one of the concerns of law is to guarantee the protection of women and at the same time effectively promote the application of legislation to aggressors, the laws that deal with the protection of women and the classification of the crime of Feminicide in the Brazilian Penal Code will be analyzed. To this end, Law No. 13,104 of March 9, 2015 will be addressed, which typifies the conduct of Femicide, including it in the form of qualified homicide. Therefore, the entire conceptual part of violence and the forms of manifestation of violence against women will be presented, which is of utmost importance when identifying the law applicable to each case.
