Resumen

The present work aims to make a retrospective on the agreements, treaties and climate conferences since the first edition, which took place in 1972 in the city of Stockholm, Sweden, and the participation of Brazil in these events, in order to have a historical overview of Brazil's performance and the goals established during and after them. The methodology used in this work was a literature review, analyzing more recent articles on the subject. It is possible to notice the leading role of Brazil regarding the preservation of the environment, mainly due to the Amazon and other biomes, which in recent years have been devastated due to the current negligent policy regarding their preservation.
