MAPEO DE LA DELINCUENCIA EN EL ESTADO DE PARÁ: ANÁLISIS Y ESTRATEGIAS DE SEGURIDAD PÚBLICA

Resumen

This article analyzes crime mapping in the state of Pará, emphasizing the importance of using statistical data and georeferencing technologies as strategic tools for planning public security actions developed by the Military Police of Pará (PMPA). The study is based on a literature review and document analysis of official reports produced by the State Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense of Pará (SEGUP), the Brazilian Forum of Public Security (FBSP), and the Ministry of Justice and Public Security. The research aims to understand the factors associated with criminal dynamics in the Pará territory, identifying areas with a higher incidence of crime and proposing operational strategies aimed at the prevention  and  qualified  repression  of  crime.  The  article  discusses  the relationship between disordered urbanization, social vulnerability, and urban violence, considering the regional specificities of the Amazon. The results show that municipalities with higher population density, socio-spatial inequality, and the presence of trafficking routes have higher rates of intentional lethal violent crimes and property crimes. It is observed that crime mapping constitutes an important police intelligence tool, contributing to the efficient use of personnel, optimization of resources, and strengthening of visible policing. It is concluded that the integration of technology, crime analysis, and strategic planning strengthens the constitutional mission of the Military Police, promoting greater effectiveness in combating crime and improving the sense of security among the population of Pará.
