Prematurity is defined as any birth occurring before 37 completed weeks of gestation and represents one of the main challenges in maternal and child health, as it is associated with high rates of neonatal morbidity and mortality. Thus, the study was carried out through the analysis of secondary and publicly available data on prematurity, which are contained in DATASUS/TABNET, more specifically in SINASC (Live Birth Information System), in the state of Paraná, covering the period from 2013 to 2023. All data used in the research are anonymous, generating no concerns regarding the privacy or exposure of the research participants, as they are in the public domain and without individual identification. The analysis was performed using spreadsheets developed by the author of the study, applying statistical methods to interpret the data, with the aim of identifying patterns, trends, and possible associations among the analyzed variables. The results obtained from the research were made public, regardless of whether the findings were favorable or not, seeking transparency and access to information on prematurity patterns, with the objective of enabling actions aimed at reducing prematurity rates and improving the quality of prenatal care.
