Abstract

This research aims to understand the actions of school inclusion in Basic Education in Tocantins, responding to the requirements of the discipline of curriculum and diversity of the master's course in education, offered by the Federal University of Tocantins. We emphasize that, in Brazil, the main governmental actions related to the theme of school inclusion, emerged from the 1990s. Starting from the main discussions and legislation that provide guidelines on inclusion in Brazil, we seek to detect and analyze how the service inclusive in the Tocantins education network, in addition to identifying, through the School Census – Special Education/2020, the quantitative situation of service to this public. Through the study of researches that were dedicated to the subject, mainly the 2020 Census, it is intended to collaborate in encouraging and alerting to the need to combat social exclusion in all its scopes, in the perspective of Goal for Sustainable Development n° 4 (ODS-4), which recommends inclusive, equitable and quality education for all.
