The subjective right and the existential minimum are abstract rights concepts that need parameters to be demanded and fulfilled. Because of this, this article seeks to bring legal perceptions, based on Alf Ross and Daniel Sarmento, that may possibly provide paths to be followed in order to realize such rights. The principle of freedom appears in both jurists. The research is based on specialized bibliography on the theme, doctrinal works, websites, and norms, in order to analyze the concepts in practical life regarding the fulfillment of the rights in question. In this sense, it is noted that the perceptions of each jurist vary according to the angle in which the questioned right is observed and required for a basic material condition of life.
