This article is a systematic review, with the objective of analyzing the scientific productions, having as filter academic articles about the intersections of poverty and race, with the indexations in the databases Doaj Directory of Open Access Journals, Latindex, SciELO Brazil and Medline between the years 2015 to 2021. Having as descriptors "Poverty", "Poor", "Low income", "Black", "Black" and "Race", potential 695 articles were identified, and 14 productions were analyzed. Based on the data analysis, it was possible to establish two categories, the first one points the social markers as a sub representation of the other, or as an element of addition, the second one presents an intersectional perspective, that is, the confluence between poverty and race markers. In the results, it was noted that there are different conceptions of race and poverty from the construction of the writings, in which race in some productions is conceived only as a sociodemographic data and not as a social and theoretical issue that should be problematized. The same applied to the category of poverty, because although the authors present it as a unidimensional category, there were multidimensional aspirations, that is, income was not the only parameter of analysis. Thus, it attests to the need for greater productions that have an understanding and analysis of social inequalities and oppressions through the intersectionality bias.
