CHILD NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT IN THE BRAZILIAN CONTEXTO

The present work aims to address the child neuropsychological assessment, its methodology and contributions, taking in consideration the complexity for professionals in Brazil to perform it in a reliable way, aiming at the importance of its construction in the lives of children and adolescents, their parents and individuals involved in their social context. The theoretical review was used as a research methodology, bibliographical research, carried out from the analysis of materials and books published by Brazilian authors and scientific articles published online, regarding the proposed theme. Understanding childhood as a primordial phase in the formation of individuals, the result of a good neuropsychological assessment can positively influence the development of a child and adolescent, diagnosed or not with some child psychopathology, guiding more effective treatments and, consequently, can improve their quality of life, his family and the people around him.
