“MY DEAR POPE! UNDERSTANDING HEARING DISABILITY IN CHILDHOOD.” ELABORATION OF A CHILDREN'S BOOK ABOUT THE PROCESS OF DIAGNOSIS AND INTERVENTION OF HEARING IMPAIRMENT

Abstract

Introduction: Hearing impairment is seen as a public health problem due to its high prevalence. In today's society, there are several resources used to facilitate the dissemination of information regarding hearing health education and promotion. Description: It was a study of technical production, carried out from August 2020 to June 2021, whose objective was to develop a children's educational book, about the screening, diagnosis and intervention process of a child with a disability hearing. The study was divided into three stages: bibliographic survey; production of content and production of graphic and visual material. Final considerations: The preparation of this book will serve as a motivating and innovative resource for educators, students, health professionals and family members in approaching and disseminating knowledge about child hearing loss, as well as contributing to the promotion and education of health in children. children, especially users of hearing aids, favoring their visibility and identification and the clarification of doubts.
