This paper aimed to present and analyze the scientific publications in Brazil, regarding the pedagogical tendency of Mathematical Modeling in Mathematical Education. The research was carried out using the CAPES (Higher Education Personnel Improvement Coordination) Journal Platform. The articles selected for analysis are characterized by qualis A1, A2, B1, B2 and B3, in which the evaluation area is Teaching. Such investigation is characterized as a refining process, retrieving forty-five articles, in which only ten served what was intended to be investigated. The following study retrieved a total of ten journals, presenting activities at various school levels. Different researches presented the modeling in general, emphasizing its advantages and difficulties of working. Such mapping was restricted only during the 2015-2018 quadrennium. The articles studied obtained satisfactory results with their research, highlighting the importance of working with Mathematical Modeling. However, it is noteworthy that there are some difficulties encountered in applying this type of methodology. Thus, further studies on this subject are considered necessary to discuss Mathematical Modeling and its influence on mathematics teaching.
