PREPARING STUDENTS FOR CURRENT CHALLENGES: THE QR CODE AS A LEARNING POTENTIAL

This paper aims to present an educational experience, based on practical activities using the QR Code. This experience was developed in a 1st cycle class of a public school in Portugal. The purpose was, through this tool, to promote learning and, consequently, to allow a heterogeneous group of children to experience recent technologies through an educational use. The pedagogical activities were developed using cooperative learning, to foster communication, debate and an effective exploration and involvement of the themes being learned. Through the work developed, it was possible to verify that the QR Code allows a challenging and innovative approach to the contents that are intended to be taught, as well as a greater involvement of students that reflects positively on their learning.
