Abstract

This article sought to analyze hospital medical practices during the period of social isolation resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. The type of research is bibliographic, qualitative and descriptive in nature, as it sought to describe the phenomenon of Hospital Pedagogy in which we accurately discovered the facts and relationships that covered the period of social isolation. Google Scholar, Periodic Portal of CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel) and Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online) were accessed, from the descriptors “Hospital Pedagogy” and “Hospital Pedagogy in the pandemic”, where we selected works that were published in the period from 2020 to 2022. Only 5 (five) articles were analyzed, as it is a topic that is little understood in the scientific universe. In this way, we understand that education goes beyond the school field, with non-formal educational spaces growing in Brazil through social groups, non-governmental organizations, private and religious institutions. We conclude that in the period of social isolation, professionals developed intervention projects and studies that guarantee student-patients the right to a quality education.
