This article sought to present epidemiological studies regarding the brucellosis vaccine in cattle in the municipality of Alvorada do Oeste Rondônia, as this is an infectious and contagious disease that affects cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, horses, including humans. The methodology employed sought to raise the prevalence of vaccination of bovine females with the RB51 vaccine in the municipality of Alvorada d'Oeste-RO, with a retrospective analysis of the period from 01/01/2020 to 05/28/2021, analyzing quantitatively and comparison of animals vaccinated against Bovine Brucellosis. The main results found indicate that this is also considered a zoonosis of worldwide distribution, considered infectious and chronic caused by bacteria of the genus Brucella, a disease also known as “contagious abortion”, caused by two strains: smooth and rough. The smooth ones are the most aggressive bacteria (Brucella abortus that affects cattle, B. Suis in pigs and B. melitensis, goats) and the rough ones (B. Canis in dogs and B. Ovis in sheep) are less virulent. Thus, it is concluded that the main forms of manifestation in animals are evidenced by abortion, sterility and low productivity, which corroborates to a sharp drop in animal productive potential, being a zoonosis of universal distribution that causes several health problems and economic losses. costly.
