Abstract

Aging is a great association with cardiovascular problems, with emphasis on the development of Arterial Hypertension, considering, regular physical exercise is one of the main therapies, it has a morbimortality to the hypertensive patient. Objective: to demonstrate, through a literature review, the effects that resistance can promote on blood pressure in hypertensive elderly people. The changes resulting from aging did not prevent the elderly benefited as incident hypotensive when being resisted, indicated to control the action of arterial action because of aging the post-example the results are still conflicting, due to methodological differences, such as different exercise protocols and the type of sample, the intensity and volume of training. Conclusion: Despite the methodological difference applied by the research, resistance exercise is shown to be an important ally to increase blood pressure in the elderly after a training session.
