Abstract

Online recruitment and selection and home office work are studied in micro and small companies (MSEs) in the COVID-19 pandemic. The objectives of this study are to identify micro and small companies that use online recruitment and selection and home office work in the COVID-19 pandemic, before, during and now after, this year 2022, what difficulties and challenges they faced and in the that micro and small companies expect that online recruitment and selection and work from home can be used in the post-pandemic period and in relation to the operation of their activities in the future, what are the advantages and disadvantages of working with the home office and the opinion of small organizations on the importance of using online recruitment and selection and working from home within such organizations. This research is exploratory in nature with a qualitative approach. As a method, it was chosen to carry out a case study with 13 small companies, the data were collected from a questionnaire carried out by Google Forms with micro and small companies, from September 2022. It is concluded that recruitment and selection online and home office work were of great importance for most companies, even bringing difficulties and challenges such as: offering adequate infrastructure, promoting online training, having a good management of work and/or the recruitment and selection process. Even so, one can observe the relevance and anticipated transformation that the pandemic had in the relations of the online recruitment and selection process and the work from home in technological evolution, as well as the strategic importance for people who intend to stay and even enter the Brazilian entrepreneurial market.
