This work aims to analyze possible determining factors for learning difficulties in children's literacy. Generally, such problems can originate from outdated methodological concepts, difficulty in adapting, family participation, environment in which the child is inserted or some condition of systemic and partial disorders of school learning. It was possible to understand, from the study carried out, the importance of the teacher knowing his student so that, in this way, he can understand his difficulties and improve methods and techniques so that he succeeds in the process of literacy and literacy. The methodology used is the bibliographic study based on specialized readings on the subject, as well as the proposed discussion about the teaching literacy work in the early grades.
