MOTOR ACTIVITIES IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

The scientific article addresses the theme, “Motor Activities in Early Childhood Education”, whose objective is to review the importance of sports activities in the motor development of students during early childhood education. The child begins to build their motor experiences in a continuous process of motor development with the cultural and social movements that each one has, taking into account that this construction depends so much on biological and psychological resources and conditions of the environment in which they live. According to the Law of Directives and Bases of National Education, in Early Childhood Education, the first stage of Basic Education, aged four and five years, it is understood that it is the preschool period and its purpose is the integral development of the child. According to Scarpato (2007) Early Childhood Education can be considered as a stage in the development of specific human skills or fundamental movements, as it takes place between two and seven years. In Early Childhood Education, Physical Education uses games and games as a powerful tool to help children's development. The relevance of work focused on motor development consists in the knowledge of the application of activities that explore the movement considering the aspect of the phases and stages adapting them to the learning needs of children in preschool.
