In this study, the objective was to present an interdisciplinary proposition based on Nussbaum (2015). This author, deepens the critique of the models of liberal education, points the way to the humanities from an approximation between human sciences, literature and the arts. These aspects are aligned with the assumptions of Spolin's TheaterEducation (1990) and Environmental Education, which seeks to re-signify teaching. The theoretical-methodological proposal of the study is of an interdisciplinary approach and encompasses poetry The Canticle of the Earth, (Coralina, 2001) to work on issues related to the environment through Theater- education. In this way, the understanding of the environmental problematic, associated to a teaching that is committed to the formation of critical subjects results from the reflection, which is born from an educational model based on democratic principles. It is emphasized that the denial of these principles in education, not only goes to the degradation of the human and its capacity to contextualize and globalize, but also destroys the environment. In this sense, poetry served as a backdrop for the dramaturgical experimentation that finds with this methodological possibility an original and committed form of social transformation.
