Considered the largest organ in the human body, and with the capacity to regulate body temperature, the skin performs, among these other functions, the synthesis of the hormone better known as vitamin D, in addition to absorbing and eliminating substances from the body. The percutaneous collagen induction technique, better known as microneedling, makes it possible, through a device called Derma roller, to provide treatment for acne lesions, due to an inflammatory process at the site where it is applied, and after application there is a stimulation of the production of fibroblasts and collagen, with collagen in its regenerative phase. The device used for this treatment consists of a polyethylene roll containing from 190 to 450 needles and the set is disposable, but there are variations of this technique, with similar devices, with electric Dermapen being an option, containing from 12 to 36 sterile nanoneedles, easily replaced. Acne is differentiated into two classes, the non-inflammatory when the presence of closed or open comedones, or in its inflammatory phase, when there is the presence of nodules, cysts, papules or pustules. Hormonal factors, products and substances can aggravate the acne process.
