E-mail: melctoledosilva@yahoo.com.brThe following paper presents the moodle e-learning platform and aims to show how it works and how it helps the students' teaching and autonomy, as well as facilitating the teachers' work. This article is divided into three subheadings, where one will explain how the software works, the tools that help the learning process, and finally, a sample of an institution that uses the platform for assignments, quizzes, questionnaires, and forums, which are some of the tools found in the software. The methodology of this work was bibliographic research, through books, websites and other articles. It can be concluded that moodle is a platform that offers a wide variety of tools to support distance learning, offering both comfort to students and teachers and more interaction between them, as well as facilitating the organization of the institutions that use this platform.
