Abstract

The main objective of this book is to analyze the importance of fairy tales for the reading process of children in early childhood education, since through reading it is possible to expand knowledge, access to information, making them active participants in language-related practice, expanding world view etc. Given the above, this book provides subsidies to encourage the practice of reading fairy tales.
The same can be achieved from theoretical assumptions about reading through interactive conceptions of language and children's literature, based on authors such as: Bettelheim (1985), Ambramovich (2001), Coelho (2001), Busatto (2008), Ceciliato (2007), among others.
