The school environment is a space for learning and socialization for students in the initial grades, coming from early childhood education. The teacher works to mediate and facilitate the learning of students in the initial grades, supported by didactic resources such as sculpture. The general objective of this study is to discuss the use of the didactic resource of sculpture in the learning of students in the initial series. This study is characterized as a bibliographic research. The relevance of this study is based on the importance of providing opportunities for meaningful learning to students in the initial grades, through their participation in the activities. Sculpture is developed as a didactic resource that enables transformations in the cognitive structures of students in the initial grades.
