Child education. Children. readers.Abstract
Early Childhood Education is the first stage of basic education and aims at the integral physical, mental, intellectual and social development of children under the age of six, complementing family and community action. It is also called early childhood education, kindergarten or preschool education. When determining the boundaries between kindergarten and preschool, or between preschool and elementary school, there are some criteria to consider: the educational nature of the program, whether or not it is based in a school or center with special equipment, the qualifications of the teacher and child's age group. At this stage, the child's journey to the school environment begins. As with any beginning, it can be very difficult for both children and parents. This is where teachers/educators become important. This phase should not be traumatic, but memorable. According to Section II of LDB nº 9.394, nº 9.394, of December 20, 1996, in the first stage of basic education, educators must provide activities that develop the cognitive, emotional, psychomotor and social aspects of children. The objectives of early childhood education should aim at the physical, emotional, social and intellectual development of children, with the aim of developing their autonomy, self-control and confidence in self-expression and communication.
