There is a lot of debate about Human Rights. After all, several violations of these rights are seen in the news daily. This study analyzes the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and its reflections on the Constitution of the Federative Republic of Brazil, as well as its applicability in this country. For that, Human Rights were defined, as also were the dignity of the human person and, later, several articles of the UDHR were cited, correlating with the Brazilian Constitution, as well as with the reality experienced by our society. It is the duty of the State to provide a dignified life to all its residents, regardless of any particularity such as race, color, religion, gender, as well as the acts that the State has practiced. It was possible to perceive that despite having a wide legislation that aims to protect the human person, it is still difficult to put all its precepts into practice. It is hoped that a few years from now, we will have come closer to the full realization of these rights. The deductive method was used as a theoretical approach, and the methodology used was bibliographic research.
