The objective of this work was to verify, through a bibliographical research, ways to arouse the interest of students in the teaching of mathematics from their first contacts with the school world. At first, we seek to describe the importance of mathematics in everyday life and how much it is present in our daily lives, then it is about the relationships between theory and practice that can be made to arouse greater interest in the search for knowledge and the importance of having a good foundation. Bearing in mind that it is in the family that the first examples are followed, in the course of its formation, the school must seek to walk alongside the family. Finally, as the teacher's commitment is important to provoke the student's interest and also to relate the contents with the daily life. After all, it is he, the teacher, who is committed to sharing his knowledge.
