APPLICATION OF THE 5S QUALITY TOOL IN A MEDIUM-SIZED LOGISTICS COMPANY

The implementation of the 5S methodology in a logistics company is studied. The objectives of this study are: to implement the 5s methodology (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu and Shitsuke), that is, we will establish the sense of use, the sense of organization, the sense of cleanliness, the sense of health and standardization and the sense of discipline in a medium-sized company in the field of logistics, in order to improve productivity and reduce waste, study concepts of the 5s methodology of the PDCA cycle systemically involving all departments of the company. This is a case study carried out within a logistics company. The 5s methodology was applied in the documentation sector, creating a processing of the documentation of the finalized trips with quality, implementation of POS and portal support, collection of invoices and improvement in service, which led to the development and application of training within the company. It was concluded that the 5s allows everyone to work as a team with a favorable climate, cleaner, developing their activities in a more organized way, for this to occur it is necessary that all sectors are interconnected, so that the company continues to guarantee the wellbeing and health of its employees.
