The article aims to present a study of the development of an automatic controller for aquariums capable of measuring and controlling some important parameters for the maintenance of the system in question, using the open source electronic prototyping platform, called Arduino. The objective of this article is to detail this study, with the measurement of three main parameters: pH (hydrogen potential), temperature and level, controlling the last two mentioned and proving its functioning through demonstration in a small-scale aquarium. In this way, it is verified the feasibility of the project that the application of this project can be extended, serving as a basis for several other systems, such as water treatment projects or other substances, such as oils, beverages in general and solvents, depending on the programming carried out, in its control software and inclusion of suitable sensors and actuators, with potentially reduced costs by using open-source tools.
