Hepatitis A is a viral infection in which the causative agent of the disease is a virus of the family Picornaviridae whose genus is Hepatovirus, it is the most common viral form among viral hepatitis, commonly known since the middle of the 18th century. Its viral RNA it has a simple tape, and is considered an ultramicroscope agent, which selectively infects humans. Its transmissibility occurs via the fecal-oral route, through contaminated water and food. Prevention through immunization occurs through vaccines, where it is produced through cell cultures where the virus is in an attenuated state, the expression of each antigen occurs through the ELISA test, the same of which is based on antigen-antibody reactions, detectable through enzymatic reactions. Hepatitis A and sanitary conditions are directly related, and for there to be control of the disease, good sanitary conditions are necessary.
