This work aims at a simple and direct analysis of the importance of Physical Assessment as a data analysis tool and main guide for a correct exercise prescription, monitoring of motor development and students' health, demonstrating in this way how the construction of such a tool is fundamental piece in the elaboration and planning of the guidelines to be followed. Physical assessment, based on technical-scientific knowledge, is the set of analysis of several biopsychosocial variables: anthropometric; body composition; postural analysis; metabolic and neuromuscular assessments; nutritional, psychological and social assessments, in order to provide essential information for the elaboration of a correct and efficient exercise program that will result in the conduct of the individual to the practice of exercises without risk to their health, and consequently provide a better cognitive and physical development.
